Facilitating Nature’s Recovery through Environmentally-friendly Land Management with CIEEM
Land used for agriculture accounts for approximately 70% of the UK’s land surface. Restoring habitats through environmentally-friendly farm management practices is essential if we are to meet our 2030 ambitions for nature’s recovery and tackle climate change. Effective and up-to-date advice will be critically important in helping land managers adopt practices that deliver better outcomes for nature and the environment.
This online Summer Conference examines the role of the farm environment adviser and how it is evolving in line with emerging national and regional environmental and agricultural policies, priorities and funding opportunities. There will be a range of presentations covering key topics such as strategic agri-environment schemes, training and skills for farm environment advisers and taking a nature-based solutions approach to advice.
As well as hearing from a range of sector experts, we will also be hosting a live demonstration of the Land App platform. We will be focusing on how we can empower ecologists with the tools they need to support environmentally-friendly land management. Working collaboratively to create a digital twin of our landscapes is crucial for proving uplift for ecosystem services and natural capital.
Land App can help ecologists to:
