Our UK Habitat Best Guess Baseline was developed in partnership with UKHab Ltd, the official data classification for programs such as Biodiversity Net Gain. This “Best Guess Baseline” is a single data layer that predicts which habitats make up a given area of Great Britain by combining insight from multiple third-party datasets. The result provides you with near-instant access to highly granular habitat data for instant insight.
Now updated with Version 2 of the UK Habitat Classification the UK Habitat Best Guess Baseline is more accurate, allowing for more detail into your habitats, and shows temporal change – helping to identify if areas are temporary or permanent, for example, which fields have wintergreen cover.
